Lisbon is a great place for 4 days. What you can do during 4 days in Lisbon – the list of 9 locations that I recommend visiting.

🏙 Day 1

Praça de D.PedroIV (Rossio) — a square with characteristic wavy black and white tiles (typical “calçada portuguesa”). A great place to experience the atmosphere of Lisbon right away.

2. Elevador de Santa Justa is a Gothic elevator descent between the Baixa and Bairro Alto districts, with a metal frame in the neo-Gothic style.

3. Praça do Comércio is a large shopping square by the river, with the Arco da Rua Augusta at its entrance.

It is beautiful both during the day and in the evening. Come here in the evening – a great place to sit with a coffee, look at the Tagus river, and walk through the arch as a symbol of the entrance to the old heart of Lisbon.

Day 2.

4. The area where there is a climb to the red bridge, Ponte25deAbril – this area is called Alcântara (northwest of the center of Lisbon). In this area, you can also take a long walk and enjoy the streets and interesting locations.

5. Belém district – stop by the waterfront, enjoy the museums and architecture. And be sure to visit the beautiful “marmorosh/mumush” Mausoléu de Belém, I came too late to that location, and it was under reconstruction, but still it had some charm and beauty.

and Mosteiro dos Jerónimos – that picturesque accent in the Belém district. They are both very close to each other.

Day 3.

6. Trip to Sintra. The Palácio Nacional da Pena and Castelo dos Mouros in Sintra (as a day trip from Lisbon) are a fairytale palace and Moorish castle set among green hills. I also recommend visiting it.

Day 4.

7. The center of the old tourist part – find a beautiful Gothic cathedral: Sé de Lisboa (Lisbon Cathedral).

8. Castelo de São Jorge. Castelo de São Jorge is an ancient fortress on a hill that offers one of the most impressive panoramic views of Lisbon and the Tagus River; here you can see old walls, archaeological excavations from Moorish times, medieval towers, peacocks roaming freely in the courtyard, and the real history of the city comes to life right before your eyes.

9. Miradores. And finally, this day, climb to one of the panoramic platforms (miradores) in the oldest part of the city, Alfama, or Miradouro da Graça – from there you can enjoy a view of the sea and the city.
